Kendra noticed somebody hiding behind Haystack Rock and painted him in.
That’s Horace. He’s big, orange, fuzzy and very shy. The sun is going down, and two surfers are standing on the wet sand with their boards, deciding whether to paddle out one more time. They have no idea they’re being watched. Horace is peeking around the side of the rock, holding very still and taking notes.
He’s been studying them for a while now. He wants to know how the boards work, and he’d really like to try one. He’d also like to make some friends. He’s working up to both.
