Who's behind the camera. And the monsters.

Euphoregon is where Joe Frazier's Oregon photography lives. It started as a little Etsy shop called EuphoregonPhoto. Now it has a home of its own, an Oregon print shop, and one very shy orange monster.

Joe is a photographer in Portland. When he isn't crawling into lava tubes or standing in the cold waiting on a robin, he's covering news and events around the city for Joe Frazier Photo.

He and Kendra also spend more time on Mt. Hood than most people, for reasons that have a lot to do with The Shining.

Kendra

Kendra is an artist, and the one who keeps finding monsters in Joe's photos. She paints every one of them herself.

The pine martens at the top of the home page were painted by Amanda Heininge, Joe's cousin.

That painting is called Winter Watch, and it's a print now. Every sale of it supports Amanda's work.

What you see is what was there.

Joe is a member of the National Press Photographers Association and shoots to its code of ethics, landscapes included. So what you see in a Euphoregon print is what was in front of the camera.

There are two exceptions, and both are labeled. The monsters are painted in by Kendra, which we hope is obvious. And the 2017 eclipse is a composite, two hours of the sky stacked into one image.

How the prints are made

Made in Oregon, on purpose.

Your print gets made when you order it, a few miles from where it was shot, by people we can go shake hands with. Nothing sits in a warehouse, and nothing leaves the state to get made.

Printed: Made to order by Gango, a family-run print shop in Portland that's been at it since 1977.
Paper: 100% cotton cold press fine art paper. It has a soft texture you can feel, and it's made to last.
Framed: Gango frames it by hand in one of eight wood frames, behind glass or lightweight acrylic. Your call.
Shipped: Orders ship within 48 hours, anywhere in the world.
Cards: The exception. We buy those in batches, keep them at home, and pack and mail them ourselves.
