Fall Leaves

Some people say fall is their favorite season. Other people are wrong. I’m an unapologetic fall fan. The chill in the air, the woodsmoke, even the famous Portland rain. Bring it on.

These leaves were just lying in the yard, begging to be photographed. I didn’t focus on the brightest one. The mustard yellow in the back does a better job of lighting up the orange that’s spreading like fire through the maple leaf up front. Every inch of it is color and texture, and every inch of it makes me happy.
