Getting in Sync

There’s a rhythm two people find when they paddle together. It takes a while. At first you’re clacking paddles and arguing about who’s steering. Then somewhere along the shore it clicks, and the boat just goes.

This was shot at sunset on the southern Oregon coast, a few miles north of the California line, where the forest comes right down to the water. Two kayakers, two paddles, moving together.
