Partnerships take on many forms. The marriage behind Euphoregon is
strong not because we’re the same but because we’re different. When we
hike, the long-legged Joe strides ahead and tackles escarpments with
ease. Lyndal plods along beside or behind him, and her FitBit goes off a
half hour earlier, because her steps are so much shorter. She bakes, he
chefs. He sees the big picture, she notices the little things. And they
share their experiences.

These kayakers, making their way across an
estuary near the California/Oregon border, are in the process of coming
back together in the last rays of the day. We stood and watched as they
brought their boats to shore, tipped out, packed up and headed out. All
of it, together, in partnership.
